Shoes of Silver and Walls of Gold – by Susan Miller
Shoes of silver and Walls of gold.
A house of mirrors one cannot see and cannot come beyond the veil … except a priest to Yah.
To Yah alone with all your heart, and soul, and strength you agree to serve.
Angels guarding overhead will keep and guard your time in this holy place: A special place…a separate place…a holy place.
Who is there? Whom do you seek? This set-apart place that few will
find. Beyond the veil, you cannot come unless through the veil you dare to cross.
Once there, amazed you’ll be to find shoes of silver, walls of gold, a house of mirrors and your heart exposed.
Do you dare gaze upon the beauty therein; the light, the bread, the wine - all there to welcome those whose purpose is to enter in?
Come close, draw near, the invitation has gone out.
The next veil you find a place to talk, to bow, to listen, to worship, to thank, to reason, to plead, to be healed, to be heard by the One who longs to be with you as much as you desire to be there with Him.
He has been waiting a long time for you to find this place. Look close – as this veil becomes thinner until no longer there…the place is open now.
What will you say, what will you ask, what will you confide to the One who made you?
He created you He destined you to find this most intimate place and to have this conversation. Many are called, but few choose to come into this place.
For you must be a priest to enter the holy place…to come before the throne of grace…to meet with Him face-to-face…to be called a friend of your Creator.
What will you do with your time with the King in this holy space?
You have answered the invitation to come to the Holy Place beyond the veil. Its silver shoes and golden walls and angels looking on from beyond and above the house of mirrors are more beautiful than you had imagined.
Its light so bright as to take your breath away and the table set afresh with bread and wine; you approach the altar of incense for your appointment with the King of Kings.
As you draw near, the cherubim seem to smile as they part the inner veil and there you are face to face with your Redeemer.
This house of mirrors you will never see…unless a priest unto Yah.
