- Perhaps you have heard the old story that goes something like this: A wealthy man had only one surviving son. The father was a good man and devoted to God. He was a man who knew the Word of God and tried to encourage his son to study also. However, the son was not interested in Biblical things and went his own way.
The father eventually passed away, leaving only his worn Bible to his son as instructed by the man’s lawyer. The son was both surprised and angry. He took the Bible, put it in a box, and placed it on the shelf of his closet.
Many years later, he was cleaning out that closet and found the Bible that had been there so very long. Feeling a little sentimental, he sat down and opened up the well-worn, Book. As he opened it, an envelope dropped out. Inside were instructions and a letter of love from his father as to how to obtain his inheritance. The son had missed out because he had not bothered to even open the Book, the most prized possession that his father owned. He had spent years being angry and feeling unloved for no other reason than he would not open the Bible.
How many people are in the same kind of predicament? If the Bible is not opened and not consulted and not studied, then how do we find out the wonderful news of being part of the children of Abraham?
So many words and concepts that we think come from the New Testament are Torah words that are for Abraham’s kids. Like Justice and Righteousness, Mercy and Grace, Faith and Trust, Hear and Obey. It is in the pages of the Torah that these words are given meaning and application.
One thing we can be thankful for during these days of awe.... leading up to Yom Kippur is that we are awaiting a favorable decision from the Righteous Judge. He is going to render judgment in your favor; your fine has been paid in full. You are about to get back what the guilty party has taken from you.
Read Psalm 109-111
Psalm 111: I will praise the Lord with my whole heart, In the assembly of the upright and in the congregation.2 The works of the Lord are great, Studied by all who have pleasure in them.3 His work is honorable and glorious, And His righteousness endures forever.4 He has made His wonderful works to be remembered; The Lord is gracious and full of compassion.5 He has given food to those who fear Him; He will ever be mindful of His covenant. 6 He has declared to His people the power of His works, In giving them the heritage of the nations.7 The works of His hands are verity and justice; All His precepts are sure. 8 They stand fast forever and ever, And are done in truth and uprightness. 9 He has sent redemption to His people; He has commanded His covenant forever: Holy and awesome is His name.10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever.
From the Declarations…..
- • We decree an open heaven over Colorado, releasing revelation and truth to set the captives free even as Yeshua declared at the beginning of His ministry.
- • We decree demonic spirits are bound in the name and authority of Yeshua and we render them paralyzed, impotent and powerless, sent back to the abyss now.
- We decree the assistance and intervention of ministering angels be released to dismantle demonic thrones, ungodly rulers, principalities and powers, and ungodly authority structures. That godly, righteous, and just leadership replace them….so that no vacuum will be left for evil to refill.
