How ironic: that we would come to this portion this week!
While we study the 8 days of unleavened bread, we celebrate the 8 days of Hanukkah with light. While we study the Exodus and coming out of the World System represented by Egypt, we celebrate the Great Birth Announcement delivered to Mary by Gabriel. While we study Israel being delivered from bondage, we celebrate the Deliverer who is to come to rescue us. While we study God's wrath being poured out on Pharaoh's kingdom via the death of the firstborns, we celebrate the announcement that God is sending His only begotten Son to reign over the house of Jacob....with no end to His Kingdom.
“Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. 32 He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. 33 And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.”
All who are part of Israel are adopted into this Only-Begotten-Son-of-the-Father's-family. Yeshua said, "I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." What a time to celebrate with Light.... lots of Light! Let's celebrate this Unleavened Bread from Heaven coming to dwell with us. He is the Reason for the Feast! This is the Feast that is Unforgettable! This is the Feast we should be celebrating together and telling others about.
