We are going to examine several similarities.... between Joseph and Yeshua. We need to keep in mind that Yeshua didn't just pop into history by being born into the family of David. Everything He did was according to a plan and a reflection of the Torah. The instructions in the Torah are like railroad tracks being laid down for the Messiah to arrive on the scene. The Patriarchs, the family He would be born into, the Nation He would come from, the Covenant He would die for... are all parts of the track that He would arrive on. Everything was done with a purpose!
Joseph will be exalted and placed in charge of the whole Empire, second only to the Pharaoh; but not before hardship and humiliation. On Joseph’s way to the Palace, he will spend some time in prison. The one who was hated for his dreams will interpret dreams that will bring him to the palace. This young man does not get bitter. With humility, he just keeps getting better with the gift of administration that God has given him. We’ll talk about it!
